Borehamwood Capsule Works

Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Capsules made in the UK, in runs a small brand can afford.

A capsule machine and a polisher in Borehamwood, a written food safety system, and a minimum run of 100 units. We fill for your label, for ours, and by the thousand.

Where we are

Registering with Hertsmere Borough Council as a food business. Quotes are taken now; the first runs follow registration.

What we will not make

Anything on the UK medicine list, anything that needs a traditional herbal registration, and any label carrying a health claim the GB register does not authorise. The boundary is the law; inside it we fill anything.

Three services, one customer

A small or mid-sized UK supplement brand that sells online and wants capsules made here without a 50,000-unit minimum.

Contract filling

You supply or specify the powder. We fill, polish, count and pack. Priced per thousand capsules by size, with a set-up charge per run.

from £42 per 1,000, indicative

Private label

We source the ingredient on a certificate of analysis, fill it and pack it under your label. Your label is checked against the GB claims register before it prints.

from £4.40 a unit at 100, indicative

Wholesale and fulfilment

Empty capsules by the box, filled stock lines in bulk, and pick, pack and post from Borehamwood on our Royal Mail account for brands that would rather not hold stock.

empties from £15 a thousand, indicative

We know what to fill

Every contract filler can fill a capsule. Few can tell you which capsule to make, at what pack size, at what price per capsule, to land as the cheapest on a page that already exists. Our sister site Best Capsules prices thousands of UK capsule listings twice a day, and the gap list on this site is drawn from it: ingredients with one or two UK sellers and the price per capsule to beat.

Posted like a letter

Our default pack is a flat pouch or slim carton that fits Royal Mail's large-letter format: under 25mm thick, under 750g. Sixty capsules post for the price of a letter rather than a parcel, on our account rates, and the saving is yours. On a comparison site that shows delivered price, that is the difference between second and first.
